Attendance will be taken at each rehearsal. To be considered a member of the Mary's Angels choir, children need to attend 70% or more of rehearsals. (If there is a special family reason you will be missing multiple rehearsals, please discuss this with the instructor ahead of time.)
In September of each year Mary's Angels choristers age six and older who are entering First Grade may move up to the St. Nicholas Choir if their instructors feel that they are ready. Signs of readiness include basic reading skills, social maturity and the ability to sit attentively through the longer St. Nicholas Choir rehearsal.
If a six-year old chorister will be entering kindergarten in the fall, then he/she should enroll in Mary's Angels, not the St. Nicholas Choir.
